Ed Sheeran- Lego House (Acoustic) (On a boat) (Wicked cool)
I must say, I’ve had quite the eventful weekend.
Drove up to Omaha to finish out my 2nd and final year of Porterbrook. What an amazing journey and experience it was! Porterbrook helped so much to shape me into the person I am today, and I can honestly say I haven’t a clue where I would be if I didn’t go through with doing it.
Came home and Julia and I finally got to get inside our house after United Neighbors came in and did some pretty crucial work (almost $8,000 worth) for the first few weeks of May. That really put our mind at ease and we got to jump right into the cosmetic work we want to do. Lots of painting got done and so many friends and family came to help!
Julia had one of her many bridal showers and we were blessed with so much great stuff! Slowly but surely we are making our house feel like a home, and it has so much to do with such loving friends and family helping us.
Had a great service at church, it was emotionally heavy for me, but in a joyous way. I love sitting back and watching God do His work as me and the rest of Sacred City remain faithful to what He has called us to do and be in this city. All praise be to Him and His glorious grace!
My heart is so full. Ready to go be salt and light this week, and be fruitful and faithful.
With all that said, I must not forget to pray, continually and unceasingly. Only a fool would think this many blessings come on account of his own works. To God be the glory and praise for all He in orchestrating in my life.

As Cities Burn- The Widow (live)
Pretty emotional performance from one of my favorite bands growing up.
Been sitting on this song for a while. It’s loosely based around the story of the Prodigal Son and I wrote it after reading Timothy Kellers book “Prodigal God”. Hope you enjoy!
Lyrics: “Come Inside”
I’ve got a cold feeling in my soul
I want whats mine, I don’t care what I’m told
My heart of stone is pounding in my chest
And now my bodies begin me for rest
Cause when things don’t turn quite the way they should
The clocks can’t roll back time, that’s understood
Pick yourself up off that dirty floor
Just like You’ve done so many times before
Come inside ,Quit all that hiding
Come inside, quite all that trying little boy
Come in side, quit pretending
That this all just aint worth mending little boy
I’ve done it right countless times before
But you don’t see this thing that I’ve worked for
I’ve earned it all, with no help from anyone
Look at me, I am the older son
The father’s love will keep you
Like a lovers touch complete
And after all of this is said and done
We’ll raise a glass to the past
Cause this prodigals come back
What once was dead is now alive
So wont you…

David Ramirez- Stick Around
Pure Emotion…
In no particular order, I will be posting a series of my top 10 “YouTube Inspirational Finds”.
First up, we have Sir Allen Stone performing his song “Unaware” apparently from his mother’s living room. His voice is amazing. The pocket groove of this song is unmatched. The swag of the band is off the charts. I just want to hug the bass player for being so obviously emotionally engaged in what he’s doing…. I could just go on and on. The video really speaks for itself. Enjoy.
The more I have searched myself, the more I have seen how broken I am.
The more I have searched God, the more I see how vastly full He is.
The answer to my (our) brokenness is to let him who “fills all in all” (Christ) mend me (us).
